Leah Taylor, PsyD
Dr. Leah Taylor obtained her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University in 2019. She completed her pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship within the Department of Veteran Affairs where she gained advanced training in evidence- based treatments for trauma-related disorders, depressive disorders, and anxiety related disorders including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Written Exposure Therapy (WET), Cognitive Behavioral Conjoint Therapy for PTSD (CBCT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). She has a special interest in working with veterans and military families and also sexual, affectional, or gender minoritized individuals. Dr. Taylor believes in providing effective empirically supported treatment while making therapy a collaborative and flexible process to meet each individuals’ unique needs and goals. She works with clients located in DC, Maryland, Virginia, New York, and Massachusetts by telehealth. In her free time, Dr. Taylor plays soccer, enjoys being an aunt to her niece and nephew, and seeks out new hiking trails and coffee shops in the DMV area.
