911 vs. 988 – who do I call?
988 provides support for psychiatric emergencies and 911 provides support for all other emergencies. The 988 and 911 systems coordinate with one another.
Mobile crisis team vs. 911/988 – who do I call?
If the person you are concerned about is injured or is an immediate threat to hurt someone, call 911 or 988 before calling a mobile crisis team. There may be delays when engaging mobile crisis teams.
